Meet The Team
Joe Hiel
Joe Hiel is a San Diego native that grew up in the eastern part of the county. He attended Helix High School in La Mesa. After high school, Joe attended and graduated from U.C. Berkeley. In the early 1990's he began a career in sales and management. Later, he started, grew, and managed a successful swimming pool contracting business for 23 years. In 2014, Joe earned his real estate license. He joined Robert Weichelt at eXp Realty in 2020. Joe also offers Life and Health insurance, through Bankers Life, to the growing services he offers his clients.
Robert Weichelt
Robert Weichelt grew up in San Diego. A second-generational real estate agent, Robert began her real estate career in mid-1980's as a title rep. Later he went on to own and manage a Keller Williams franchise. Robert has experience in almost all aspects of the real estate industry, including serving on the local real estate boards. In the spring of 2018, he joined eXp Realty as a broker associate specializing in Bank-owned / distressed properties and our very own team created "On-Line Offers" platform.

Robert grew up in Beverly Hills and attended UCLA. He began his financial services career in the summer of 1969 on Wall Street at Lehman Brothers in New York. In the mid-1980s, Robert left Lehman and started his real estate and mortgage sales career back in Southern California. Robert currently is a senior Mortgage Loan Officer with Lending 3, Inc. in Orange County, CA and carried his Real Estate Brokers, Life and Health Insurance, and NMLS Licenses.
